Harvest Moon picture today! :3

hehe, aww.. I know that it is totally off center, but hey! It was a doodle! XP

This is Popuri from Harvest Moon, in case ya didn't know. :3 Ry and I have been playing a lot of the Harvest Moon DS game and it made me want to doodle some HM fan-art. So, here it is. I might try and make it into an actual picture for DA later on, but it depends if I get time.. ^^; Well, quite a bit of time, since the first thing I finish art-wise, will be the OC colouring of a picture that I started the colouring of last night and didn't have time to finish.. :P

Anyhow, not much to say, other than that I finally have figured out a solution to the problem I was having with my comic, which means that I may actually get around to starting that some time in the future XD

Lol, this was how I felt the other day! XD This was meant to be posted yesterday, but oh well! It's just a sketch of me in my new robe, lol. I was really not inspired to draw, but oh well! :P

Anyhow, it's New Year's Eve! O=

Sheesh.. ^^; Wow, this year went by insanely fast.. @.@; And only a short while more and I will be off to Toronto. My God, time really does fly! :P
Sooo.. I guess we are supposed to make resolutions, eh? Well.. My only one is to get a job when I get to Toronto.. Oh, and try and finish highschool.. -_-; Only a few credits to go, so I need to get my act together! I guess that is good enough for goals, eh?

Anyhow, not much else to update. These past two days have been pretty relaxed. I got my previous sketch coloured up and will be posting it on DA soon. Also, I have been getting caught up on my DA messages. Other than that, HM: DS is what Ry and I have been doing.. Still.. Such an addictive game, we both love it to pieces! ^-^

Lol, sorry for the weird title. Ry and I got new bathrobes tonight and they are fantastic~! ♥ Oh, and blue! :D Yay!

Anyways, I don't have much to update today. Ry is back off work, as of today, until after new year's, so I may be a bit slow plugging this out! :P Sorry about that. n.n

Not much really to say, though. Today was really relaxing and involved more Harvest Moon DS playing and walks to the store and such. Huzzah for shopping! XD

I still intend to post my Higurashi review soon, but it may be a bit longer until I post it, since Ry is off work again. :3 Oh well, no hurry, I guess! I have no idea how many people even read these things, after all.. ^^;

Well, that's all I have to say. Here is the drawing I have been working on recently. Technically it is a W.I.P and not a sketch, but meh! Enjoy! Oh, and Happy early New Year's! ;P

Oh, this is just a drawing to test out how the costumes I designed for the convention will look on charactures of us. Hopefully I will get time to finish this and stick it up on my DA soon! ^-^

More sketches and stuffs! :3

First off, yes, there are two new sketches in here. They are rough, I warn you, but sketches, none the less. :3

Before I post them, I should do a quick write up explaining what they are! XD I am going to be posting two sketches and they are costume designs for the first convention Ryan and I are planning to attend once we reach Toronto. Since we won't have much time to prepare (I believe the con is in March), we decided to go as original characters... Sooo.. Off to work I went, designing the costumes! :D First up, is mine:



Now, Ry and I were a bit unsure about these three designs, but we ended up deciding on the third one, the one with the skirt and top. It should be interesting to see if we even have time to get this done, but we figure it's worth a try.

As for the guy costume, well.. The one I really wanted him to use, I thought for sure he would say no to.. But he ended up surprising me and agreeing to the one I thought would be the best one...



The middle outfit is my favorite one, but since Ryan hates wearing shorts, I didn't think he would say yes.. But as of now, he thinks that he will be willing to wear it, if we can get it together in time..

That being said, the conventions we are aiming to go for are Anime North ( www.animenorth.com ) and CN-Expo ( http://www.hobbystar.com/ComicConToronto2006/CC_Main.asp ). For CN Expo, we are hoping to have a few costumes together, though. The one I am focusing on is Shion's waitress costume from Higurashi no Naku koro Ni. I will post a drawing of this outfit, or something, later.
Anyhow, there are two other cons in the Toronto area we are thinking about attending, but I will leave it at that.

In other news, not a whole lot is going on over here. Ry is back to work today.. We've both been super tired and playing a lot of Harvest Moon DS... Uhm.. I have a fan-fic/doujinshi idea for Harvest Moon, but I don't think I will do aything with it.. Err.. That's about it.. XD I will give an update (and the promised Higurashi review) a.s.a.p! ;P

Happy - err... After Christmas? lol

Well, I had hoped to post a Happy Christmas message for you all, but alas, it's 12:30 pm now, so I guess it isn't really Christmas now, eh? hehe. Oh well! I tried! :3

So, just a little update for anyone reading this..

First off, I finished watching Higurashi no Naku koro Ni (although a new season will be out in Feb.) on Christmas Eve and I intend to write a proper review of it later in the week.

Secondly, well.. Christmas Eve was interesting.. :P At least I didn't get laundry soap this year (if you don't know, feel free to ask ^^; ). Anyhow, having some time to spend with my dad and my Aunt Cindy was fun. Oh, and Aunt Cindy's little girl, my cousing Sunny (who is five). I was really happy to see this part of my family and having some time to talk with them (for the small amount of time my step-monster wasn't aroung) was really awesome. :) Dinner was good, too! My Grandma's lasanga was excellent as always (although I could have done without having my step-mother blatantly insulting my Grandmother's ambrosia salad.. That woman has absoltuly no class.. -_-; ).
Present opening was fun, although Ryan and I already knew what we were getting from Grandma and Grandpa, since we bought it and wrapped it ourselves.. Lol.. The presents from my Dad, brother, step-brother and step-monster were... Better than last year (who gives a water cooler to two teenagers who don't have a car to get refill bottles with? ^^; ), thankfully, but still a bit odd.. Oh well! The photo-printer (which my Dad obviously picked out - he even said so), was a nice idea, although we also ended up with some really weird junk.. And dollar store stuff.. Yay to my step-monster.. (who we are guessing also spent the $100.00 of Grandma's money we didn't get on her bratty kid's brand new t.v.... ).
Anyhow, some moron decided to buy my step-monster booze, which was a disaster and led to her mixing up drinks and pressuring my grandma into taking shots.. Yah.. My Dad, Ryan and I all sat together in the living room when we heard "chug, Grandma! Chug! Chug!"... The three of us were about ready to hide under the couch.. We were all so totally blown away.. Then she tried getting my grandpa to do it and oy.. >>; Luckily, it all went without incident and my dad shortly got us all out the door.. On the way home, we ended up stopping at my other aunt's place and my step-mother said "just for one minute", which turned in to more like 30-45 minutes..

Oh well, it all ended up going fairly well! :P Better than I expected, at least. We got home dead tired, though.. Which inspired today's sketch:























Lol, yah, that about summed us up after the 24th! XD We felt about that this morning, too (Ry still feels like that, lol).
Sadly, we didn't make it to my Nana's, we didn't wake up until about 1pm and we were still tired :P! But we did talk with her (and my mother, step-father and step-grandfather) today, though. Later, Ry got to talk with his family, too, so that all went well.
We got lots of nice gifts this year, too.
As for dinner, we had pancakes and eggs 'cause we were too lazy to cook anything else! XD Annddd.. We spent most of the evening watching X-Files episodes from my DVD set.. :P It was quiet and it was lots of fun!

As for me, all went well yesterday. Again, the mall wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated. Not even line-ups in the washrooms (lol).
Shopping was fun. We bought some candy to put in a Christmas basket and Ryan went off and bought stuff for me (way more than he should have, that bratt! *giggle*).
Then we finally made it to Chapters. I bought myself three new books (only went a little over my $50.00 mark). One is a new Anne Rice book, one is Dracula and one is a random best seller that sounds interesting. Of course, I get to open these tonight, so I had to wrap them up last night.. XD lol. Oh well.

As for tonight, we are apparently going to be going for dinner at my Grandparents place. It'll be the first time we've seen them since they came over and yelled at me during the summer over a misunderstanding.. -_-; Before that, last Christmas was the last time we saw them! XD Oy.. Should be interesting.. I just hope my step-monster behaves herself.. *sigh*

All in all, though. I am looking forward to Christmas! Although, I am exhausted already.. Too much doing stuff.. I kinda wish we'd planned on going to see Nana on Boxing Day, not Christmas.. ^^; I am going to be dead tomorrow. I am not used to this much activity.. >>;

Oh, and I have to add.. I only have one more episode of Higurashi and I am going nuts! I wanna finish it! T.T... After I do, I will have to write up a proper review of it.

OMG! Teh X-Files! XD Lol

First off, no, I am not making fun of X-Files fans.. ^^; I am an X-Files fan! XD
Obviously, that is why today's sketch looks something like :
What brought on this picture? Well, Ryan and I went to Metrotown Mall yesterday (yes, a few days before Christmas and we went to Canada's second largest mall! XD ) to try and find things to spend the money we were supposed to have spent by tomorrow and I just happened to find X-Files box-sets on for $30.00 each.. Obviously, I bought one! Although I can't watch it yet.. -_-; I have to wait until Christmas Eve (which is spent with my Grandma) and then I can un-wrap it (yes, I had to wrap it when I was done).
What did I spend the rest on? Well.. We were going to spend the rest of our money (Ry bought some C.D's with his first $30.00 ) at Chapters.. But when we got there, it was closed already..
Speaking of which, the mall wasn't all that busy yesterday.. Only a little more than it usually is. We are apparently going back tonight, if possible, though.. That will be scary, most likely.. The last Saturday before Christmas.. Ack!
